OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR (for TMC, TMMR Made) > REASSEMBLY

HINT:

1. Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
   
2. The following procedure is for the LH side.
   

1. Install a new support as shown in the illustration.
   

2. Pass a new wire harness through a new frame sub-assembly.
   

3. Connect the connector.
   

4. Temporarily install the frame sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
   

5. Install the frame sub-assembly with the 3 screws.
   

6. Engage the clamp.
   

7. Using a T25 "TORX" socket wrench, install the base with 3 new screws.
   

   Torque:

   3.8 N*m{ 39 kgf*cm , 34 in.*lbf }

   NOTICE:

   When installing the base, check that the wire harness is not caught between the base and housing. Failure to do so may cause a short circuit.

8. Engage the clamp.
   

9. Engage the 5 claws to install a new lower cover.
   

10. Engage the 5 pins to install a new gasket.
    

11. Adjust the wire harness so that the marking is at the position shown in the illustration.

12. Wind vinyl tape around the wire harness to secure it.

    NOTICE:

    If the vinyl tape is wrinkled, water may run down the wire harness and enter the vehicle. Make sure to wind the vinyl tape properly.

13. Connect each connector to the adapter.
    

14. Route the longer wire harness as shown in the illustration.

1. Connect the connector.
   

2. Engage the 2 claws to install the side turn signal light assembly.
   

1. Engage the 7 claws to install the outer mirror cover.
   

2. Connect the 2 connectors.
   

3. Engage the clamp.
   

4. Install the mirror actuator with the 3 screws.
   

1. Connect the 2 connectors.
   

2. Engage the 2 guides on the upper part of the outer mirror to the outer mirror.
   

3. Engage the 2 claws on the lower part of the outer mirror to the outer mirror.
