1. INSTALL PARKING BRAKE CONTROL PEDAL ASSEMBLY

  1. Install the parking brake control pedal assembly with the bolt and 2 nuts.

    Torque:
    15 N*m{ 153 kgf*cm , 11 ft.*lbf }

    NOTICE:
    Tighten the bolt and 2 nuts in the order shown in the illustration.
  1. Connect the parking brake switch connector.

  1. Install the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly with the bolt.

    Torque:
    15 N*m{ 153 kgf*cm , 11 ft.*lbf }
  1. Install the clip to the No. 1 parking brake cable assembly.

  1. Temporarily install the lock nut.

    HINT:
    After adjusting parking brake pedal travel, tighten the lock nut.


2. CONNECT NO. 4 PARKING BRAKE CABLE ASSEMBLY

  1. Connect the No. 4 parking brake cable assembly to the parking brake control pedal assembly as shown in the illustration.

3. CONNECT STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side (Click here).


4. INSTALL STEERING INTERMEDIATE SHAFT ASSEMBLY

HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side (Click here).


5. INSTALL NO. 2 AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY
  1. Engage the 2 claws to install the No. 2 air duct sub-assembly.

  1. Install the bolt.

    Torque:
    9.8 N*m{ 100 kgf*cm , 87 in.*lbf }
  1. Connect the connector to the footwell light.



6. INSTALL COMBINATION METER ASSEMBLY

HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side (Click here).


7. INSTALL INSTRUMENT CLUSTER FINISH PANEL ASSEMBLY

  1. Temporarily install the instrument cluster finish panel assembly as shown in the illustration.

  1. Connect each connector.

  1. for LHD:

    1. Engage the 3 claws, 7 clips and 4 guides.

  1. for RHD:

    1. Engage the 4 claws, 5 clips and 4 guides.

  1. Engage the 4 clips and 2 guides to install the instrument cluster finish panel assembly.



8. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL REGISTER ASSEMBLY

HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side (Click here).


9. INSTALL UPPER INSTRUMENT PANEL FINISH PANEL
  1. w/ Smart Entry and Start System:

    1. Connect the connector.

  1. Engage the 2 claws and 4 clips to install the upper instrument panel finish panel.



10. INSTALL AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY
  1. Check that the ignition switch is off.

  1. Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) battery terminal.

    CAUTION:
    Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to disable the SRS system.


  1. Using SST, install the airbag sensor assembly with the 3 bolts.

    Torque:
    Specified tightening torque:
    18 N*m{ 178 kgf*cm , 13 ft.*lbf }

    NOTICE:
    1. This torque value is effective when SST is parallel to a torque wrench.
    2. If the airbag sensor assembly has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace it with a new one.
    3. When installing the airbag sensor assembly, be careful that the SRS wiring does not interfere with or is not pinched between other parts.
    4. When the ignition switch is first turned on (IG) after the airbag sensor assembly has been replaced, make sure that no one is in the vehicle.
    5. Calculate the torque wrench reading when changing the fulcrum length of the torque wrench (Click here).
    6. When using SST (fulcrum length of 150 mm (5.91 in.)) + torque wrench (fulcrum length of 250 mm (9.84 in.)): 11 N*m (112 kgf*cm, 8 ft.*lbf)
  1. Connect the connectors to the airbag sensor assembly as shown in the illustration.

    NOTICE:
    When connecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.
  1. Check that the waterproof sheet is properly set.

  1. Check that there is no looseness in the installation parts of the airbag sensor assembly.



11. INSTALL FLOOR CARPET BRACKET RH
  1. Engage the 2 guides.

  1. Install the floor carpet bracket RH with the 2 clips.



12. INSTALL NO. 1 INDOOR ELECTRICAL KEY ANTENNA ASSEMBLY
  1. Connect the connector.

  1. Install the No. 1 indoor electrical key antenna assembly with the bolt.

    NOTICE:
    Be careful when installing the No. 1 indoor electrical key antenna assembly. If the antenna is dropped, replace it with a new one.
  1. Engage the clamp.



13. INSTALL SHIFT LEVER SUPPORT

HINT:
Use the same procedure as for the LH side (Click here).


14. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL RH

Torque:
103 N*m{ 1049 kgf*cm , 76 ft.*lbf }


15. TURN FRONT WHEELS TO FACE STRAIGHT AHEAD


16. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

NOTICE:
When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected (Click here).


17. PERFORM DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM CHECK

18. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT
(Click here)


19. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE PEDAL TRAVEL
  1. Completely release the parking brake pedal.

  1. Loosen the lock nut and the adjusting nut to completely release the parking brake cable.

  1. Remove the rear wheels.

  1. Temporarily install the hub nuts to the hub bolts.

    HINT:
    Securely install the hub nuts to the rear disc.
  1. Remove the parking brake shoes adjusting hole plug.

  1. Turn the shoe adjuster and expand the shoes until the disc locks.

  1. Turn and contract the shoe adjuster until the disc can rotate smoothly.

    Standard:
    Returns 8 notches.
  1. Check that there is no brake drag against the shoes.

  1. Install the parking brake shoe adjusting hole plug.

  1. Turn the adjusting nut until the parking brake pedal travel is corrected to be within the specified range.

    Parking brake pedal travel:
    7 to 10 notches at 300 N (31 kgf, 67.5 lbf)
  1. Using a wrench or an equivalent tool, hold the adjusting nut and tighten the lock nut.

    Torque:
    9.0 N*m{ 92 kgf*cm , 80 in.*lbf }
  1. Operate the parking brake pedal 3 to 4 times, and check the parking brake pedal travel.

  1. Check that the parking brake does not drag.

  1. Remove the hub nuts from the hub bolts.

  1. Install the rear wheels.

    Torque:
    103 N*m{ 1049 kgf*cm , 76 ft.*lbf }


20. INSPECT BRAKE WARNING LIGHT
  1. When operating the parking brake pedal, check that the brake warning light illuminates.

    Standard:
    The brake warning light always illuminates at the first click.
