1. REMOVE FRONT DOOR LOWER FRAME BRACKET GARNISH

  1. Disengage the 2 clips and remove the front door lower frame bracket garnish.



2. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE BEZEL PLUG

  1. Using a screwdriver with the tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 3 claws, and remove the front door inside handle bezel plug.



3. REMOVE ASSIST GRIP COVER

  1. Using a screwdriver with the tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the 6 claws and remove the assist grip cover.



4. REMOVE COURTESY LIGHT ASSEMBLY

  1. Using a screwdriver with the tip wrapped with protective tape, disengage the claw and remove the courtesy light assembly.

  1. Disconnect the connector.



5. REMOVE FRONT DOOR TRIM BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Remove the 3 screws and clip (A).

  1. Using a clip remover, disengage the 9 clips.

  1. Pull up the front door trim board in the direction indicated by the arrow.

  1. Disengage the reference bosses from the front door panel.

  1. Raise the front door trim board to disengage the 4 claws and remove the front door trim board together with the front door inner glass weatherstrip.

  1. Disengage the 2 claws and disconnect the front door inside handle sub-assembly.



6. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INNER GLASS WEATHERSTRIP

  1. Using a screwdriver, disengage the 4 clips as shown in the illustration and remove the front door inner glass weatherstrip from the front door trim board.



7. REMOVE FRONT DOOR INSIDE HANDLE SUB-ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the front door lock remote control cable and front door inside locking cable and remove the front door inside handle sub-assembly.



8. REMOVE FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Remove the 4 bolts and front No. 1 speaker assembly.

    NOTICE:
    Do not touch the cone part of the speaker.


9. REMOVE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY WITH COVER

  1. Disconnect the connector.

  1. Remove the 3 nuts.

  1. Disengage the claw and remove the outer rear view mirror assembly with cover.



10. REMOVE FRONT DOOR SERVICE HOLE COVER

  1. Disconnect the connector and each clamp, and remove the front door service hole cover.

    HINT:
    Remove the remaining butyl tape on the door side.


11. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS SUB-ASSEMBLY
  1. Connect the front power window regulator motor assembly connector.

  1. Connect the power window regulator master switch assembly and move the front door glass sub-assembly so that the door glass bolts can be seen.

  1. Remove the 2 bolts.

    NOTICE:
    After the bolts are removed, the door glass may fall, causing damage.

  1. Remove the front door glass sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.

    NOTICE:
    Do not damage the door glass.
  1. Disconnect the power window regulator master switch assembly and front power window regulator motor assembly connector.



12. REMOVE FRONT DOOR GLASS RUN

  1. Remove the front door glass run.



13. REMOVE FRONT DOOR WEATHERSTRIP

  1. Using a clip remover, disengage the clip and remove the front door weatherstrip.



14. REMOVE FRONT DOOR REAR WINDOW FRAME MOULDING

HINT:
When removing the front door rear window frame moulding, heat the vehicle body and front door rear window frame moulding using a heat light.

NOTICE:
Do not heat the vehicle body and moulding excessively.
  1. Using a heat light, heat the front door rear window frame moulding.

  1. Disengage the clip.

  1. Using a moulding remover, remove the front door rear window frame moulding.



15. REMOVE FRONT DOOR UPPER WINDOW FRAME MOULDING

  1. Put a 4 mm (0.16 in.) drill bit into a drill.

  1. Tape the drill bit without the portion of 5 mm (0.20 in.) from the tip covered.

    HINT:
    Tape the drill bit to prevent the drill bit from going too deep.
  1. Lightly press the drill against the rivets, drill off the flanges of the rivets, and remove the 7 rivets.

    NOTICE:
    1. Pressing the drill too firmly will cause the rivet to turn and result in the rivet not being drilled through.
    2. Do not pry the rivets with the drill, because this may cause damage to the installation holes of the rivets or the drill bit.
    3. Be careful when touching the drilled rivets as they may become hot.
  1. Using a vacuum cleaner, remove the rivet fragments and shavings from the drilled areas.

  1. Remove the front door upper window frame moulding from the door frame.
